Meet Tottenham based, actor and model @jsamuelz. Josh keeps his West Indian heritage at its core, tapping into the rich culture and the energy of his hometown, Tottenham.
"Tottenham has been a hugely influential part of London for much of my life and I would go as far to say, it's shaped the person I am today, including the drive and hunger I have to succeed. Growing up in the area, I tapped into the rich culture and energy it cultivated in me from an early age. Having gone to school, played football at THFC and attended early acting classes here, it's a place that is very close to my heart."
We linked-up with @MrLeeLives, a London-based visual artist and designer. Lee draws inspiration from Chinese culture and traditional iconography to create his own brand of stylised artwork.
"Chinatown is a symbol of the Chinese in the UK. I've been coming here since I was a baby. My aunty has been working in the See Woo supermarket for 30 years and even though it's largely for tourists, it's still a hub, a meeting place, somewhere to eat and to shop - being a key symbol of our culture here in London. A lot of my personal work draws from Chinese culture and traditional Chinese iconography, so it's a place for inspiration and also somewhere to just feel at home in the city."
East London based @juicegee describes herself as a creative, explorer and sneaker collector.
"Everything I do is in East London, I work, live, and have most of my friends in the area, plus it was the first area I explored when I started coming to London at 18. East London is constantly growing and changing, attracting people from all cultures and identities. Growing up in a mixed family, places rich in culture were always important to me and this part of London certainly has that! There is also an abundance of style floating around, which is great for me, as I draw my inspiration from that on the daily. Londoners are constantly trying to make waves and push creative boundaries with their style, particularly here in the East, which is so great to be around."
